Wesli
Wesli’s musical journey has gone from stringing up an oil can ….. with nylon fishing string to winning a Juno for World Music Album of the Year (Rapadou Kreyol, 2019). Uniting a large cross-section of Montreal talent, his music links Haitian vaudou and rara with roots, Afrobeat and hip-hop. His 8th album, “Tradisyon Vol. 2”, will be released in summer, 2023 in partnership with the famous American label Cumbancha.
Born Wesley Louissaint in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he has grown into his role as a prolific songwriter, guitarist and producer. Uniting a large cross section of Montreal talent, his music links Haitian voudou and rara with roots, Afrobeat, and hip-hop.
Kobo Town
Named after the storied district in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, where calypso was born, Kobo Town has been described as “an intoxicating blend of lilting calypsonian wit, dancehall reggae and trombone-heavy brass” (Guardian) and a “unique, transnational composite of rhythm, poetry and activist journalism.”(Exclaim!) Since their founding in 2005, the group has brought their distinct calypso and ska-inspired sound to audiences across the world.
The band is fronted by Drew Gonsalves, who moved from Trinidad to Canada as a teenager and who rediscovered in his new home the joys of old calypso, ska and roots reggae through old records found in the bargain bins of used music stores.

Marshall Veroni
Marshall Veroni is a singer-songwriter from Ontario, Canada. His performances combine high-energy folk rock with heartfelt audience interaction and lyrics that will make you feel something.
His vulnerable demeanour blends seamlessly with his emotive playing style and unique vocal performances. Writing from the heart, Veroni bonds with listeners over themes of love, loss, and the human condition. With his band, Marshall Veroni and The Family Table have taken their unabashed mix of high-energy alt-folk-country rock and intimate songwriting to festival stages across the country.
Micah Sage
Micah Sage is an Alternative/Pop artist based in Calgary, Alberta. She is a self-taught writer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Her sound (inspired by Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Lizzy McAlpine) is dreamy, soulful, cinematic and entirely her own.
Micah Sage debuted her self-titled EP in June 2023, which is self-written, played, recorded and primarily self-produced. It has been featured on Local, Commercial, Provincial, and Campus radio across Canada. Micah Sage finished off 2023 by selling out her first headlining show at the iconic King Eddy in Calgary.
Sage has graced stages from Toronto to Vancouver, and looks forward to creating and sharing more music and live shows over 2024.

Lucy Morgan
Lucy Morgan is a singer/songwriter born in Port Stanley, Ontario. She grew up with music in her life from the very beginning. With a musician for a dad, performing has always been in her blood. After completing a BFA in theatre and drama studies, Lucy tried her hand at songwriting. She found it to be the greatest form of therapy, as if a weight was being lifted off of her heart.
Letting the world hear her songs feels like closing the chapter that inspired them. Lucy gained over 55,000 streams with her first single ‘I Really Loved You.’ She has opened for Myles Goodwyn from the popular band April Wine and completed her first 5 week solo tour across Northern Ontario this past summer. Her debut EP ‘Firelight’ came out in August of 2022 and she is currently back in the studio working on a new project.
Alex Hawken
Having grown up on the gritty, psychedelic sounds of classic rock, Alex Hawken has been breathing music since he can remember. He lends credit to his parents for gifting his ears with Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd and countless musical icons.
However, Alex would soon find another musical pathway, less travelled and packed with digital synths and drum machines; electronic dance music would become the sound of his generation.

Greg Smith
Singer-songwriter from Walters Falls, Ontario, Canada. His story-based writing discusses life, love, and the great balance of everything.
This will be Greg’s fourth time performing at Middle River Music Fest, you might recognize him by now.

No, but you are welcome to bring your own beverages and snacks. Think of it like a picnic, except on a farm with live music.
What to wear to a music festival?
Assuming the weather is favourable, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable—and have fun with it. How often do you get to dress up for a music festival on a farm? Around 8 PM, it begins cooling down, so it’s a good idea to bring a sweater or blanket or both. Good footwear is recommended if you plan on taking the farm tour, which we highly recommend :). You’ll be fine in sandals.
Can we get food at the festival?
Yes, you can purchase food from any of the vendors that are set up. We’ve got something for everyone.
What should I bring?

- A reusable water bottle
- Chair or blanket
- Warm clothes for the evening

- and some friends!
Is there parking at the event?
Yes, free parking is available on-site. Bring a flashlight or headlamp for your walk to the parking lot at night.
Is your event accessible for people with mobility issues?
Yes, we try to make our event as accessible as possible. But, there are no paved roads or parking lots at our farm venue. It’s 200m walk from the parking lot to the stage area along a gravel road. Arrangements can be made to drop attendees off by vehicle at the stage and food truck area. The food truck area is flat compact dirt, and the stage area is a mostly flat grass field. One of our rented bathrooms are wheelchari accessible.
Can I bring my dog/cat/iguana?
Sadly, we cannot allow any outside pets.
What is a music festival?
